Been looking for a time keeping app like this for a while
So far I’m pretty happy with Tyme 2, and I’m also impressed with how quickly the developer responds to questions. While the app doesn’t do everything that I would like to have, it is far superior and easier to use than my previous time tracking app.
I do like the slick color coded interface on Tyme 2 and the little cues that reveal how much time has been completed on a task or project and how much is left.
A previous reviewer mentioned that they weren’t able to put tasks in a customized order; however, as of version 1.1.0 or Tyme 2 you just use the “custom” sort menu setting to drag and drop the tasks into any order you’d like. It also allows you to sort by Name, Due Date and Creation Date.
I like how you can add notes to each time entry, though you cannot currently add notes to fixed costs and mileage. Hopefully that will come in a future release.
Other features I really like include the option to export out via PDF as well as CSV and HTML options. The ability to print out a nicely formatted PDF has been a huge timesaver for me. Now it’s easy to get the time data into a form I can easily keep track of and save with projects and invoices. I do hope to see a future release with the option to customize the output page such as adjusting column width for notes and allowing me to add my company logo.
The ability to sync between the desktop app and the iOS app on my phone has also been great. I can see the project progress at a glance when I’m meeting with a client.
Overall I’m happy with it— thank you for a great app, Lars!
